Walworth, Wis., November 2025 — Integra Seating, a leading manufacturer of high-performance furniture for commercial applications, has won the Gold Nightingale Award in the Seating: Guest/Lounge category for its Odyssey Collection. The 2025 Nightingale Awards were presented by Healthcare Design magazine during the Healthcare Design Conference + Expo held last month in Kansas City. Developed specifically for high-performance commercial settings, the Odyssey Collection combines design sophistication with unmatched strength and serviceability. The collection was engineered to withstand a 1,200-pound static load and features a continuous wrap-around design, arms, an integrated back pull handle capped with solid surface, and easily replaceable upholstery covers. These elements extend the product’s lifecycle while supporting cleanability and long-term value. Award jurors praised Odyssey for its aesthetics, functionality, sustainable attributes, and component-based design, which Integra is known for. “The pull handle on the back being distanced from the cloth was aesthetically contiguous while useful,” one juror noted. “The ability to replace the covers is a compelling solution for the future of these pieces.” Chandra Putnam, President of Integra Seating, said, “We are honored to receive the Gold Nightingale Award. With Odyssey, our goal was to create seating that delivers performance, longevity, and comfort without compromising on exceptional design. This recognition affirms our belief that healthcare environments embrace and deserve furniture that is as thoughtfully designed, resilient, and supportive as the people who rely on it.” Integra Seating’s ongoing commitment to healthcare design is reflected in the Odyssey Collection’s engineering and sustainability. Its component-based design, durable steel frame, and cleanable surfaces minimize waste while providing lasting performance in high-use environments such as waiting areas, lobbies, reception areas, exam rooms, lounges, break rooms, and many other spaces. | |
