Summary: First Shift, Sewing, Full time: 40 hrs, Mon-Thurs 6:00am-4:30pm + OT as scheduled.

Operate sewing machinery to perform single and double needle sewing operations. Exhibit initiative in daily performance to provide quality products and services that meet/exceed customer demands, and maintain a quality working relationship with team members.

We are looking for qualified candidates that have production sewing experience.

Job Responsibilities of the Sewing position include but are not limited to:

• Operate industrial sewing machines and serger to join pre-cut upholstery pieces.
• Align pieces to preserve grain and/or pattern.
• Adjust machines to stitch various types of fabrics.
• Properly sew an assortment of high quality covers from a variety of fabrics & materials.
• Inspect fabric pieces during assembly and upon completion to ensure compliance with established product quality criteria.

Position Qualifications: To perform the Sewing job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each job responsibility listed above satisfactorily in addition to the following:

• Must be 18 years or older
• Must be able to work Monday-Thursday 6a-4:30p and any overtime that is scheduled on Fridays and/or Saturdays during our busy periods.
• Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
• Good hand-eye coordination, concentration skills and a demonstrated attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Job Type: Full-time, First Shift

Salary: $13.50 to start, with wage increases as sewing skills increase.

Experience Preferred:  sewing- 1+ year of production sewing experience.
